| English Rubric for the latest project: Materials: coffee can or empty juice can, 3 juice lids, pipe cleaners, tape or glue sticks, floral foam, colorful construction paper, markers, glitter, etc… Directions: Stuff floral foam into the juice can. Trim foam to help it fit snuggly in the can. Cover the can and each juice lid with construction paper. Write the title and author of the book on the covered can. Label the lids with these categories: character, setting, and plot. Cut three sets of flower petals from construction paper, or whatever material you choose. On each set of petals, write story details about one of the categories. Then glue each set of petals to its matching lid. To complete the bouquet, tape a length of a pipe cleaner to each lid. Then insert the wire into the floral foam. Cover with green construction paper for a stem. Write or type a one page summary of your entire book. Be specific. NO PENCIL!
